PLACE VALUE BINS
The Place Value Bins activity is a hands-on and interactive way to teach students about place value. Arrange the bins or containers in a row, labeling each one with the corresponding place value (ones, tens, hundreds). Number on the interctive board will be written. Students will put 3 different colour blocks into the boxes according to colour alloted to ones, tens, hundreds blocks. They will put the respective number colour blocks into the bin. The Place Value Bins activity provides hands-on practice for students to develop a concrete understanding of place value and how digits represent quantities in a number. It encourages active engagement and allows for differentiation to meet the needs of all learners.
